Personal guides aim to protect moms and babies in High-Risk pregnancies

NCT ID NCT06941974

Summary

This study is testing whether assigning a personal guide, called a patient navigator, to low-income pregnant women leads to better health for both mother and baby. The navigator helps women from early pregnancy through the weeks after birth by identifying and overcoming barriers to care, such as transportation or understanding medical advice. Researchers will compare health outcomes for about 600 women who receive this extra support to those who receive standard prenatal care alone.
