Could a simple finger monitor make childbirth safer?

NCT ID NCT07253818

Summary

This study aimed to test if a non-invasive finger monitor (ClearSight™) works as well as a heart ultrasound for checking a pregnant woman's fluid needs during late pregnancy. The goal was to see if the finger monitor could reliably tell doctors when a patient would benefit from extra fluids, helping to avoid unnecessary or harmful fluid administration. The study was designed to enroll 60 women at full term but was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
