Car seat danger for preemies? study checks breathing changes
NCT ID NCT06724601
Summary
This study aimed to understand if placing stable premature babies in standard car seats affects their breathing. Researchers measured lung volume changes in 51 infants as they were moved from lying flat to a semi-upright car seat position and back again. The goal was to gather safety information to help guide better practices for transporting these vulnerable infants home from the hospital.
