Blood test could predict dangerous pregnancy complication severity
NCT ID NCT07265336
Summary
This study aims to understand if a specific blood test measurement called 'base excess' differs between pregnant women with severe preeclampsia and healthy pregnant women. Researchers will compare blood samples from 100 women at a hospital in Panama to see if abnormal base excess levels are linked to worse outcomes. The goal is to find better ways to predict how serious preeclampsia might become.
