Researchers hunt for clues to predict back pain injection success

NCT ID NCT06684938

Summary

This study aimed to understand which patients are most likely to get significant pain relief from a common treatment for sacroiliac joint pain. Researchers followed 100 patients with this type of low back pain who received an ultrasound-guided injection of numbing medicine and steroids. They measured pain and disability before and after to see if factors like age, symptoms, or medical history could predict who improves the most.
