Could a simple needle prick predict your surgery pain?

NCT ID NCT07451925

Summary

This study aims to see if a patient's pain from getting an IV needle and their anxiety before surgery can help predict how much pain they will feel after a common gallbladder removal operation. Researchers will observe 100 adults having this elective surgery, measuring their needle pain and anxiety beforehand, then tracking their pain levels for 12 hours after the procedure. The goal is to find simple clues that could help doctors better prepare pain relief plans for individual patients.
