Doctors find clue to shorten steroid recovery after gland surgery

NCT ID NCT07282223

Summary

This study looked at patients who had surgery for a hormone imbalance called Cushing's syndrome. Researchers wanted to see if they could predict how long patients would need to take replacement steroid medication after their operation. They found that measuring the size of the patient's healthy adrenal gland before surgery could help estimate the recovery time.
