First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study explored whether a simple, non-invasive balance test could help predict if adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) will get worse over time. Researchers studied 95 girls aged 11-14 with mild scoliosis, using a force plate to measure postural control. The goal was to find early clues that could help doctors decide on treatments like physical therapy or bracing.
