Could a simple joint test end the guesswork in arthritis treatment?
NCT ID NCT05379322
Summary
This study aimed to see if taking a small tissue sample from an inflamed joint could help doctors predict which biologic medication would work best for a patient with rheumatoid arthritis. It focused on adults whose arthritis wasn't controlled by standard pills, hoping to match them with the right treatment faster. The goal was to move away from trial-and-error prescribing by using the biopsy results as a guide.
