Urine test could predict dangerous pregnancy complication

NCT ID NCT04520048

Summary

This study aims to find early warning signs that predict when high blood pressure during pregnancy will turn into pre-eclampsia, a dangerous condition for both mother and baby. Researchers will measure tiny particles in urine and other blood markers in 110 pregnant women with high blood pressure between weeks 26 and 34 of pregnancy. The goal is to identify which women are most likely to develop pre-eclampsia so doctors can monitor them more closely.
