Can an ultrasound scan predict who gets Long-Term pain after a blood clot?

Summary
This study aims to find out if a detailed ultrasound measurement of a blood clot's size and location can help predict which patients will develop long-term leg pain and swelling (called post-thrombotic syndrome) after their first deep vein thrombosis (DVT). Researchers will follow 400 adults with a first-time leg blood clot for six months, using ultrasound scans and symptom checks. The goal is to create a better tool to identify high-risk patients early, which could lead to more personalized treatment plans to prevent this chronic complication.
