Scientists hunt blood clues to stop cancer before it strikes
NCT ID NCT07214324
Summary
This study aims to find biological markers that can predict when early, symptom-free blood conditions (MGUS and SMM) will progress to the cancer multiple myeloma. Researchers will analyze blood, bone marrow, and mouth bacteria samples from 60 patients to understand the biological changes that lead to disease progression. The goal is to improve future risk assessment and help design prevention strategies, not to provide direct treatment to participants.
