Brain scans could predict memory loss from cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT04638478

Summary

This study aims to understand why some patients develop memory and thinking problems after radiation therapy for a common, slow-growing brain tumor called meningioma. Researchers will use advanced MRI brain scans and thinking tests on about 67 patients before and after treatment to identify which brain areas are most sensitive to radiation. The goal is to eventually help doctors personalize radiation treatment to better protect patients' thinking skills.
