Simple scan could warn doctors of dangerous blood pressure drops in elderly surgery
NCT ID NCT07286422
Summary
This study aims to see if a quick ultrasound measurement of a neck blood vessel can predict a dangerous drop in blood pressure during spinal anesthesia. Researchers will observe 107 older patients (age 65+) having lower body surgery. The goal is to find a better way to spot patients at risk so doctors can prevent this common complication.
