Smart sensors spot old injuries in your walk
NCT ID NCT07289828
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looked at 108 healthy sports science students to see if wearable sensors on the legs could detect patterns linked to past knee or ankle injuries. Participants walked and ran on a track while sensors recorded their movement, and they filled out questionnaires about their injury history. The goal was to use AI to find unique walking or running patterns that might hint at old injuries, which could help with future injury prevention.
