Can a simple exam or ultrasound better predict a successful labor induction?
NCT ID NCT07208552
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study will compare two methods—the Bishop score (a physical exam) and cervical length measured by ultrasound—to see which better predicts whether labor induction will lead to a vaginal delivery within 24 hours. It will involve 88 first-time mothers with a single baby at full term who need to be induced for medical reasons. The goal is to help doctors choose the most accurate tool for planning a safe and successful delivery.
