New algorithm aims to cut unnecessary pacemakers after heart valve procedure

NCT ID NCT07414485

First seen Feb 23, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at 210 people who had a TAVR procedure (a way to replace a heart valve without open-heart surgery) and did not need a pacemaker right away. Researchers want to see if a new method—combining ECG results, CT scan details, and how deep the new valve was placed—can better predict who will develop serious heart rhythm problems within 3 months. The goal is to improve safety and avoid unnecessary pacemaker implants.
