Doctors test simple scans to prevent deadly complication in common Men's surgery

NCT ID NCT07164638

Summary

This study aims to find the best way to detect a dangerous fluid overload complication early during a common prostate surgery. Researchers will compare two non-invasive ultrasound methods—one looking at the lungs and one at a major vein—in 60 male patients. The goal is to spot the problem sooner than current methods allow, which could help doctors intervene and prevent serious issues like heart failure or pulmonary edema.
