Groundbreaking study maps final journey of lewy body dementia patients
NCT ID NCT04829656
Summary
This study aimed to better understand what happens as people with Lewy body dementia approach the end of life. Researchers followed 378 patient-caregiver pairs for three years through questionnaires and check-ins every six months. The goal was to identify signs that could predict when someone is entering their final months, and to learn what factors lead to better end-of-life experiences for both patients and their caregivers.
