AI steps in to predict risky breathing tube placements in heart surgery
NCT ID NCT06986187
Summary
This study aims to understand how often and why it's difficult to place a breathing tube in patients undergoing heart surgery. Researchers will collect data from 2000 adult patients to identify risk factors and develop a computer model (using artificial intelligence) to predict this difficulty before surgery. The goal is to improve patient safety by helping doctors better plan for and manage this critical step.
