Simple blood test may predict Post-Surgery confusion in kids
NCT ID NCT07323485
Summary
This study aims to find out if simple blood tests taken before surgery can help predict which children might become confused or agitated after waking up from anesthesia for a circumcision. Researchers will observe 140 healthy children aged 2-12 years undergoing this common procedure. They will check if certain markers of inflammation in the blood are linked to the child's risk of experiencing post-anesthesia confusion.
