Can a simple X-Ray predict your Ankle's future?

NCT ID NCT02955485

Summary

This study aimed to create a prediction tool to identify which patients with a recent ankle sprain are likely to develop long-term, chronic ankle instability. Researchers followed 460 adults who visited the emergency room after a sprain, analyzing their X-rays and personal factors like height and activity level. The goal was to help doctors decide early on which patients might benefit most from surgery to prevent future problems, rather than waiting for instability to develop.
