Simple health checks could make chemotherapy safer for seniors
NCT ID NCT07151794
Summary
This study aims to find better ways to predict which elderly cancer patients are most at risk for severe side effects from chemotherapy. Researchers will follow 150 patients aged 65 and older to see if simple health screening tools and basic blood tests can forecast complications and the need for a support drug (G-CSF). The goal is to help doctors make safer, more personalized treatment decisions for older adults.
