New tools could help doctors predict brain damage after cardiac arrest

NCT ID NCT07464938

First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at 50 adults who had a cardiac arrest to see if new blood tests and brain ultrasounds can better predict how well their brains will recover. Current methods are limited, making it hard for doctors to decide on the best care. By combining these tools with standard exams, researchers hope to improve predictions and help guide treatment decisions.
