First seen May 30, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study aimed to create a computer model that can predict which patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) are at risk for dangerous blood clots (venous thromboembolism). Researchers analyzed data from over 12,000 adults in the ICU to build and test the model. The goal is to help doctors identify high-risk patients earlier and prevent life-threatening clots.
