Can a computer predict your Heart's future? new tool aims to forecast treatment success

NCT ID NCT07471308

Summary

This study is testing a computer algorithm designed to predict whether a patient's irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation) will return after a common treatment procedure called pulmonary vein isolation. The tool analyzes simple heart signal measurements taken before and during the procedure. Researchers will look back at data from 300 patients who already had this treatment to see if the algorithm's predictions match what actually happened to them.
