First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study is testing a way to predict who might develop Crohn's disease by looking at blood markers and lifestyle habits. It will follow 10,000 close relatives (parents, siblings, or children) of people with Crohn's, aged 16 to 35, for several years. Participants give blood and stool samples and fill out health questionnaires every six months. The goal is to catch early signs and better understand risk factors.
