Ambulance algorithm aims to speed up heart attack diagnosis
NCT ID NCT07419139
First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests a new way to help paramedics decide which patients with chest pain need to go to a hospital heart center. About 304 adults with suspected heart attacks (but without a specific ECG change called ST elevation) will get a quick blood test in the ambulance. Researchers will track their health for 90 days to fine-tune a decision-making tool called ACS-Pathfinder. The goal is to improve speed and accuracy of care, not to test a new treatment.
