First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looks at brain activity in 100 adults with major depression who are receiving a type of brain stimulation called accelerated TMS. Researchers use a special imaging technique (TD-fNIRS) to measure brain responses before, during, and after treatment. The goal is to find patterns that might predict who will respond well to the therapy. A small group of healthy volunteers will also be scanned for comparison.
