New hope for tough breast cancer: tailored treatments based on tumor type

Summary
This study tests whether matching treatment to the specific molecular subtype of triple-negative breast cancer can shrink tumors or slow progression in people whose cancer has not responded to prior therapies. About 120 women with advanced or metastatic disease will receive targeted drugs based on their tumor's genetic profile. The goal is to improve response rates and control the cancer, not to cure it.
