Summary
This study is testing if a prebiotic fiber supplement can help people with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder. Researchers think the supplement might reduce harmful inflammation in the body and brain, which could improve thinking skills and other symptoms. For 12 weeks, 60 participants will take either the supplement or a placebo pill to see if it makes a difference.
