Get moving before surgery: could Pre-Op training speed knee replacement recovery?
NCT ID NCT01671917
Summary
This study tested whether a special program of exercises and education given to patients before knee replacement surgery could help them recover better and faster. It involved 262 adults with knee osteoarthritis who were scheduled for surgery. The main goal was to see if this pre-surgery preparation helped patients regain their independence more quickly after the operation, potentially allowing them to leave the hospital sooner.
