Hospital checks if new rule for low iron before surgery is being followed
NCT ID NCT05447442
Summary
This study aims to see if doctors at Siriraj Hospital are following a new guideline for checking and treating low iron (anemia) in patients before major surgery. The researchers will track 93 patients with anemia to see if the guideline is used and if it leads to fewer blood transfusions or shorter hospital stays. The goal is to use this information to improve the guideline and patient care before surgery.
