Can a Pre-Pregnancy diet and exercise plan break the cycle of obesity for the next generation?
NCT ID NCT03146156
Summary
This study tested whether a diet and exercise program started before pregnancy could lead to healthier babies for women with obesity. Researchers wanted to see if improving a mother's health before conception, rather than during pregnancy, could reduce the baby's body fat at birth. The program involved supervised weight loss and maintenance for women planning a second pregnancy.
