New Two-Pronged attack tested against rare, aggressive melanomas

NCT ID NCT05546827

Summary

This study is testing if giving radiation therapy after starting immunotherapy drugs, but before surgery, can help shrink tumors and improve outcomes for patients with rare mucosal melanomas in the sinuses/nose or anus/rectum. It will enroll 40 adults whose cancer has not spread to other body parts. The main goal is to see how much of the tumor is killed by this combined approach before it is surgically removed.
