Summary

This study looks at whether checking and improving nutrition before surgery can help people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) recover better. About 150 adults having bowel surgery will be offered nutrition screening and special shakes. The goal is to see if this approach reduces complications like infections and bleeding, and shortens hospital stays.
