First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving a combination of intravenous iron, erythropoietin (EPO), and tranexamic acid before bone tumor surgery can improve anemia and reduce the need for blood transfusions. About 160 adults with bone tumors in the pelvis or spine who have low iron or hemoglobin will be enrolled. The goal is to see if this approach helps patients recover better and avoid blood shortages.
