First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looked at whether adding a pre-surgery program (pre-habilitation) to an enhanced recovery plan helps people with stomach cancer recover better after surgery. 136 patients aged 18-75 were randomly assigned to either the pre-hab plus enhanced recovery group or enhanced recovery alone. The main goal was to see if pre-hab reduced complications within 30 days after surgery.
