First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether checking a patient's genes before a kidney transplant helps doctors give the right dose of tacrolimus, a drug that prevents organ rejection. About 114 people waiting for a kidney transplant will be randomly assigned to either genetic testing or standard care. The goal is to see if the genetic approach leads to better drug levels in the blood, fewer rejections, and lower costs.
