Scientists probe why donor egg pregnancies face higher danger

NCT ID NCT07263490

Summary

This study aims to understand why women who become pregnant using donated eggs have a higher risk of a serious pregnancy complication called pre-eclampsia. Researchers will follow 462 women—some who used donor eggs and some who used their own eggs—throughout pregnancy, taking blood samples and monitoring blood pressure. The goal is to identify biological markers and compare pregnancy outcomes to learn more about the causes of pre-eclampsia.
