First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looks at a protein called PRDX1 found in blood taken from the surgical specimen of colorectal cancer patients. Researchers want to see if higher levels of this protein can predict if the cancer will spread to the liver after surgery. About 252 patients who had their colon cancer removed will be followed over time to track liver metastasis. The goal is to find a better way to identify high-risk patients early.
