Summary
This study looked at whether starting a higher dose of the medication pramipexole is riskier than a lower dose for older adults with advanced kidney disease. Researchers analyzed health records of over 1,100 people in Canada to see if the higher dose was linked to more hospital visits, emergency trips, or death within 30 days. The goal is to provide clearer safety information to help doctors prescribe this drug more safely for this vulnerable group.
