Summary

This study tests whether a program called PRAISE, led by school staff, can reduce bullying and aggression in 3rd-5th graders. Over 1,000 students will participate. The program teaches social and emotional skills to help kids handle peer conflicts without aggression. Researchers will measure changes in aggression, victimization, and bystander behavior.

What this could lead to

If it works, this could provide an effective, scalable way for schools to reduce bullying and aggression among elementary students.

What could go wrong

This is a large trial but still early-stage for this adapted model. Results may vary by school, and the program may not work as well when led by school staff instead of research staff.
