Lying flat vs face down: new study tracks kids' vital signs during surgery
NCT ID NCT07415603
First seen Feb 23, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks at how two common monitoring tools—one that measures blood pressure changes and one that measures oxygen levels—change when a child is moved from lying on their back to lying on their stomach during surgery. About 100 children having surgery with general anesthesia will take part. The goal is simply to record and compare these measurements, not to change how care is given.
