Scientists search for clues in placenta to prevent dangerous pregnancy complication

NCT ID NCT06639919

Summary

This study aims to understand why some pregnant women experience their water breaking too early, which can lead to premature birth and complications. Researchers will compare blood samples and examine placenta tissue from 36 women—some with this condition and some without—looking for specific biological markers. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help future research into preventing this serious pregnancy issue.
