First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving a common stomach acid drug (pantoprazole) early after severe bleeding from injury can help prevent kidney damage. About 100 adults with hemorrhagic shock will be randomly assigned to receive the drug either early or at the usual time. Researchers will measure kidney injury markers and track kidney health for up to 30 days.
