Scientists test how heavy lifting changes athlete hormones
NCT ID NCT07398248
Summary
This study looked at how a powerlifting training program affects hormones, metabolism, and cholesterol levels in athletes. Researchers divided 30 young male basketball players into two groups—one did powerlifting exercises while the other continued their normal training. They measured blood markers before and after the training period to understand how heavy lifting changes the body's chemistry.
