Robotic knees put to the test: can they help amputees walk better?

NCT ID NCT06194838

Summary

This study aims to find out if newer, battery-powered prosthetic knees help people with above-knee amputations walk more and feel more confident than the standard mechanical knees they currently use. Researchers will have 26 participants try three different knee models at home for several months each to see which works best for daily life. The goal is to gather real-world evidence to help doctors and patients choose the right prosthetic device.
