Smart knee study: does a powered prosthetic make walking easier?

NCT ID NCT05831696

Summary

This study aims to see if a new powered prosthetic knee helps people with above-knee limb loss walk with less effort and better balance compared to their usual passive knee. Researchers will measure energy use and exertion while participants walk on a treadmill on flat and sloped surfaces. The goal is to understand if this technology can make daily walking less tiring.
