First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at whether using a powered exoskeleton (a wearable robot that helps you walk) can improve quality of life for people with spinal cord injury. About 18 participants will be trained to use the device, then randomly assigned to use it at home or during short clinic stays over 24 months. The main goal is to see if the exoskeleton makes a meaningful difference in daily life and whether home or clinic use is more cost-effective.
